It’s not the supply chain, Stupid!

The supply chain has been swamped and overloaded with too much demand. Ports are overwhelmed by too much traffic.

Sure, some price inflation results from real supply shocks, but this is primarily driven by excess demand, instigated by the overstaying of too much stimulus. We certainly agree that the initial stimulus package was needed, but it was very poorly structured. Come on, man, Wall Streeters taking PPP loans while many small businesses were shut out?

................... So what is the MMT solution to dealing with inflation ex post—i.e. once the problem is here? There isn’t one. And I’d suggest running fast and far from anyone who offers you a quick and easy prescription for dealing with any and all inflation.

Mainstream economists, of course, offer just such a solution. The Federal Reserve will fix it! After all, it’s already their job (dual mandate), and they can act quickly and “independently,” tightening policy without fear of any backlash at the ballot box. I don’t know of a single MMT economist who agrees with this view.

Why? For one thing, we don’t think rate hikes work to constrain inflationary pressures the way mainstream economics teaches. It might even be possible, as Warren Mosler and Randy Wray have argued for years, that raising interest rates does more to push inflation higher rather than lower.

The way I see it, inflation is a complex and dynamic process, with potentially many underlying drivers. It takes a certain hubris to assert that by nudging a single price—the federal funds rate—higher, the entire economy can be shifted back onto to a stable inflation path. My view is that any effort to rein in inflation must start with an autopsy of the problem. ...

There’s an important disconnect between stocks and bonds today.

Specifically, I am looking at two fundamental indicators for evaluating long-term interest rates.

The first is the performance of small cap stocks relative to large caps. Typically, this ratio has moved in concert with the 30-year treasury yield. For the past few months, however, we have seen a major divergence between the two as small cap stocks, which are more sensitive to shifts in the economy, have led the broad stock market to the downside even as interest rates have shot higher.

The second indicator I’m watching is the relative performance of the most economically-sensitive sectors in the stock market (something I call the Economic Predictors Index). Like the small-to-large cap ratio in the chart above, we have seen a steady decline in this indicator after it put in a peak nearly a year ago.

But while the decline in the EPI has continued recently, interest rates have reversed higher.
...

.. In the major economies, especially the US, that [2021] rebound had been helped by a significant injection of easy credit, zero interest rates and considerable fiscal spending.  This rebound was akin to the ‘sugar rush’ that we get if we ingest a large dollop of sweet things to get ourselves going.  There is a big boost, but it does not last.

And that seems to be the case as we go into 2022.  Much was made of US annualized 6.9% real GDP growth in Q4 2021, much higher than 2.3% in Q3 and well above forecasts of 5.5%.  It was the strongest GDP growth in five quarters.  But this headline figure hid some serious holes in the ‘growth story’.  The biggest contribution to that 6.9% points came from inventory stocking (4.9% pts) – apparently car dealers restocking vehicles still to sell. Household spending contributed 2.2% points and business investment just 0.28% pts.  Net exports (exports minus imports) contributed nothing; and government spending made a negative contribution of 0.5% pts (as taxes outstripped spending).  Leaving out inventories, the US economy expanded by just 2% in Q4.  Over the whole of 2021, the US economy jumped 5.7% after contracting 3.4% in 2020.  US real GDP is now 3.1% higher than in pre-COVID 2019, but still 1.2% pts behind where GDP would have been if there had been no COVID slump.

Indeed, if you consult the new OECD weekly GDP tracker based on Google activity indexes, US real GDP was falling back going into January and the gap between current growth and the pre-COVID trend was widening, to -2.8% below pre-COVID trend growth.

..... The reality is that central banks have no real control over inflation anyway. But even so, they are trying. As a result, already market interest rates are rising.  The US treasury bond, the benchmark floor for corporate borrowing, is on the rise with yields up 50bp.

This increases the risk of a corporate debt crisis with such a large section of companies in the major economies already in a ‘zombie’ state (ie not making sufficient profits to ‘service’ their existing debts).

Global debt, according to a recent report by the Institute for International Finance, amounted to nearly $300 trillion in 2021, equal to 356 percent of global GDP. This extraordinarily high debt level represents a 30 percentage-point rise in the global debt-to-GDP ratio in the past five years. ... Unfortunately, few economists have a clear understanding of why too much debt is a bad thing, let alone how much debt is too much. That makes it hard to know what to worry about and why. Because economists tend to assume that the extent of a country’s debt burden is measured by its national debt-to GDP ratio, they often fail to distinguish between types of debt, instead treating a rise in one country’s debt-to-GDP ratio as equivalent to the same rise in another country’s ratio, even though the two cases may have very different implications.

... However, if the prices of goods and services remain over the next year, the disinflation will push CPI to zero. More importantly, we already see the month-over-month inflation rates declining ... Given the correlation between interest rates, inflation, and economic growth, there are several reasons to expect disinflation in the months ahead.

... The sharp decline in money supply suggests deflationary impulses in the economy will become visible around the middle of 2022. Given that the “demand push” swamped output in a supply-strained economy due to the shutdown, it was not surprising to see shortages and surging inflation.

However, now companies are ramping up production when consumer savings, and real disposable incomes, are falling back to norms. When supply outstrips demand, which will happen, disinflation will become a more significant problem for the economy and the Federal Reserve.

... Over the coming decades, the massive surge in unproductive debt will increase deflationary pressures and slower economic growth.

These issues are not new. But have been plaguing economic growth for the last 40-years. Moreover, given the baby-boomer generation has reached retirement age, they will leave the workforce at an increasing rate, drawing on their accumulated financial assets. As a result, the debts and deficits will continue to detract from rather than contribute to economic growth.

... Be careful chasing the wrong asset class. If we are correct, bonds will likely be the best performing asset class in 2022.

However, there is an element of the prices we’re seeing today — and how Americans are responding to them — that could be explained by big business run amok. Philippon, whose book “The Great Reversal” focuses on how a lack of competition and corporate concentration have defined the modern American economy, told me that one reason why inflation is such a big deal in the U.S. is that prices were already so high to begin with.

“That’s not a statement about rapid inflation, it’s a statement about slowly rising profit margins that slowly choke off the middle class,” Philippon said. “One reason it’s particularly painful in the U.S. is that prices were already high, people’s purchasing power, the real value of their wages was already being eroded by market power before. Then when you add to that a burst of inflation, it’s even more painful.”

On the monetary policy side, there are many lethal mistakes today's policy-makers are making at this juncture, and they've been aided and abetted by mainstream inflation hysteria. The first mistake is measuring inflation on a year over year % basis coming out of a lockdown pandemic. Not one of today's inflationary factors will survive this market crash. The second mistake is ignoring credit risk late in the cycle. Ironically, China is the only country NOT tightening monetary policy because their stock market and real estate markets are already in meltdown. They will be at the epicenter of this global meltdown. The third factor central banks are ignoring is the amount of tightening that has already taken place in markets. And most importantly of course they are ignoring the three sigma asset bubble they inflated and the fact that breadth has been imploding for a year already. Put it all together and they're driving off a cliff by looking in the rear view mirror.

...... In summary, I predict there won't be even ONE rate hike in this cycle. And the ten year yield is heading to...

ZERO.

Bubble Fare:

Hussman: Top Dollar For Top Dollar

Why is it so hard to accept that speculative bubbles can burst? Interest rates were driven to zero for a decade. Yield-starved investors chased stocks to valuations beyond the 1929 and 2000 extremes. That speculation front-loaded more than a decade of future market gains into the present. Those gains are now behind us, embedded in breathtaking multiples. If history is any guide, a collapse in valuations is likely to return those gains to the future.

There's No Bailout From Idiocracy

I personally would NEVER pass on this once in a lifetime opportunity to point out how fucking stupid this species has become. Looking back from an historical standpoint, this era will be the new 1929. An era that stood for almost 100 years as the apex of insanity. Did anyone alive twenty years ago believe they would see a Dotcom bubble bigger than the original one? Or a housing bubble bigger than 2007? Of course not, but here we are with both at the same time. The pandemic arrived at an unfortunate time because the cycle was already in its late stages. Many companies that had borrowed excessive amounts of cheap money were already starting to implode. However, the pandemic and its "special lending programs" threw them a lifeline to double down on balance sheet impairment.

  • A bull market is when the price of the market is trending higher over a long-term period.
  • A bear market is when the previous positive-trend breaks, and prices trend lower.

Effect of Sleep Extension on Objectively Assessed Energy Intake Among Adults With Overweight in Real-life Settings

Findings: In this randomized clinical trial of 80 adults with overweight and habitual sleep less than 6.5 hours per night, those randomized to a 2-week sleep extension intervention significantly reduced their daily energy intake by approximately 270 kcal compared with the control group. Total energy expenditure did not significantly differ between the sleep extension and control groups, resulting in a negative energy balance with sleep extension.

Meaning: The findings suggest that improving and maintaining adequate sleep duration could reduce weight and be a viable intervention for obesity prevention and weight loss programs.

Unsustainability Fare:

... Boychuk has a vision for an Alberta in which the oil industry goes extinct by being forced to clean up its own mess. As it stands, Alberta has about 300,000 oil-and-gas wells waiting to be cleaned up at the oil companies’ expense. The problem is that oil companies are not forced to save for the clean-up expense, and accounting tricks allow them to make the clean-up liability look negligible in their corporate accounts.1 It’s an open secret (implicitly endorsed by the Alberta government) that defunct wells will never be cleaned up. If they were, the oil industry would go bankrupt.

And that’s exactly what Boychuk wants. His dream is to kill 3 birds with one stone:
  1. Show that the oil-and-gas industry is insolvent;
  2. Clean up every well in Alberta;
  3. Fund full employment and a transition to a sustainable Alberta economy.
To hasten this big-picture goal, Boychuk asked me to help by estimating production curves for every oil-and-gas well in Alberta. After much head scratching and many lines of code, that’s what I’ve done.

I’m calling the analysis ‘a case study of oil-and-gas depletion’. ...

The caveat to Figure 1 is that it excludes the growing quantity of non-conventional oil extracted from the Athabasca tar sands. (Bitumen from the tar sands now constitutes the majority of Alberta’s oil production.) When the tar-sands party will peak, nobody knows.

Something to watch for, though, is how rapidly Alberta’s natural gas production declines. That’s because extracting oil from the tar sand requires profligate amounts of natural gas.2 (The gas is used to heat water, which is then pumped through the sand to extract the oil.) If Alberta’s natural gas production collapses, much of the tar-sands deposit may prove unrecoverable.3

Unless you happen to live in Alberta, you probably don’t care much about the peak and decline of its convention oil-and-gas production. Sure, your lifestyle may depend on oil … but it doesn’t matter to you where that oil comes from.

If you feel this way, let me assuage your myopia. The trends in Alberta are a microcosm of the trends everywhere. For the last century, humanity has thrown a party built on abundant crude oil. It’s now past midnight, and the festivities grow closer to last call. It behooves us to understand what’s ahead.

Interestingly, a good place to start is with simple population biology. Yes, humans may be the smartest animal that has ever lived. But when it comes to our exploitation of fossil fuels, we’re behaving like every other predator: we’re gorging ourselves until the prey is gone.

Our Climate Discourse is Gradually Normalizing an Atrocity
Corporate-friendly green buzzwords, empty promises, self-deluded storytelling: those who refuse to confront the status quo have many techniques for appearing to take climate change seriously while in fact trying to make us comfortable with catastrophe.

.... It is easy enough to see the gaudy denialism of the sort typified by the Republican Party. But in pointing the finger mainly at this easy target, Democrats and others who decry only such obvious denialism thus construct themselves as the ones taking the crisis seriously. And in this, they obscure how that crisis is rooted in, and is escalated by, a business as usual defined by its fundamental commitment to fossil fuel. Republicans may deny climate change more or less directly, but President Biden has been approving permits to drill for oil and gas on public lands at a faster rate than President Trump.

If disrupting that ecocidal business as usual might depend partly on disrupting our discourse itself, the ethical imperative to intervene might then also be understood as an imperative to challenge the terms of the debate—to go beyond the blah blah blah that constitutes the way the talk about climate now.

.... Or as Jay Hanson (2004) once wrote: “I am convinced thatafter the PROJECT INDEPENDENCE fiasco, our rulers reached the same conclusion I have: since no solution exists, there is no point in scaring Joe Six-pack.  It’s kind of like that movie ON THE BEACH where the radiation cloud is coming and nothing can be done about it.  That is why EIA, USGS, Michael Lynch, et al are trying to convince everyone there is plenty of oil and gas”.

And Donella Meadows (2002), lead author of “Limits to Growth”, wrote that “President Nixon’s Project Independence, dreamed up after the 1973 oil embargo, promised that the United States would be free of imported oil by 1980. System dynamicists saw immediately (and later demonstrated with a computer model) that, given the expected lifetime of installed oil-burning furnaces and cars and inevitable delays in finding and gearing up domestic oil wells, that goal was physically impossible. (An amazing amount of political discussion is directed toward goals that are physically impossible.)”

7 in every 10 Covid-19 Deaths are among the Fully Vaccinated according to official data; & Trudeau’s Government are trying to cover it up

An investigation of official Government of Canada data has revealed that the fully vaccinated account for 9 in every 10 Covid-19 cases, and 7 in every 10 Covid-19 hospitalisations and deaths across Canada in the most recent wave of infections to hit the country.

This is despite just 6 in every 10 people in Canada being fully vaccinated; suggesting the Covid-19 injections do not only fail to work, they actually make recipients worse.

...... In other words: We vaccinated billions of people and imprinted their immune systems on the wild-type SARS-2 spike protein, which is now extinct, and we hope to vaccinate billions more people against this obsolete protein still, so that their immune systems, too, will focus forever on obsolete spike. We also want to vaccinate children against wild-type spike, and ensure that their immune systems target this obsolete protein indefinitely. However! We should be careful of making similar mistakes in the future. If we vaccinate children against Omicron, other variants might emerge to take advantage of their imprinted immune systems, which is exactly what is happening now.

Our Corona policies have always been absurd, but every day it gets worse. Lauterbach and his ilk want to vaccinate you with old vaccines, because otherwise you’ll face multiple Omicron infections, and multiple infections could be dangerous. The very fact of your vaccination will however do nothing to prevent multiple Omicron infections, and population-wide vaccination will only select for Omicron substrains that more effectively escape our outdated vaccines and guarantee these dreaded infections and reinfections happen more often.

... One of the things we must always be grateful for is Sweden. They didn’t get it all right but with probably the world’s top epidemiologist in charge (Anders Tegnell), they were certainly more “mainly right” than Ferguson.

Mr Tegnell said it would take about one to two years to know whose strategy had worked best and at what cost to society. He stressed that Sweden’s approach was to look at the “wide public health matter” in which an important consideration was that “people should be able to keep a reasonably normal life”.

So, here we are, two years later and in two days time it is officially over in Sweden. Who was right, I wonder?

The boosted Brits’ case rates are, in some categories, over TWICE the vaccine-free case rates. The former went up, while the latter came down. For example, for 40-49 year olds, the case rate is 4,687 per 100,000 in the boosted, and only 1,726 in the vaccine-free. Do the math: the boosted are 2.71 TIMES MORE LIKELY TO GET COVID.

...

Taking “Covid Vaxx” was a bad deal for most

It used to be very simple, according to Pfizer, Chris Whitty and other “vaccine evangelists”.
  • You take Covid Vax
  • Side effects are rare
  • You never get COVID
The reality, however, proved to be the opposite:
  • You take Covid Vax
  • Side effects are NOT rare
  • Immune system is erased and reprogrammed
  • You need a booster
  • After three doses of vaccine spike protein, you get COVID
  • In two months you get ONE MORE COVID
  • Ad infinitum
Turns out nobody knows why exactly there is “death protection” at all.

A preprint in Cell finds vaccine-driven original antigenic sin is deeply powerful. Also: vaccine-generated spike protein circulates in the blood and vaccine mRNA persists for months in lymph nodes.

mRNA from the Pfizer and Moderna shots can be found in lymph nodes for at least 60 days after injection.

Free-floating spike proteins circulate at high levels in the blood after vaccination.

Vaccinated people infected with variants of Sars-Cov-2 produce antibodies biased toward the original and now extinct variant - rather than the one that has actually infected them.

Conspiracy theories from Dr. Kennedy-Mercola’s We Hate Vaxxxines Digest?

No.

Findings from a preprint in Cell, among the world’s leading scientific journals. Almost 50 researchers worldwide collaborated on the work, which Cell released online two weeks ago:

Vaccine spike antigen and mRNA persist for two months in lymph node germinal centers... protein production of spike is higher than those of severely ill COVID-19 patients!

... The hidden highlight (lede) buried in this peer reviewed paper is that protein production of spike in people vaccinated with the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine is higher than those of severely ill COVID-19 patients! A person might ask, “How could that be?” In order to understand this, we must carefully analyze what the study shows.

This study asserts that the mRNA and the spike protein produced persists for weeks in lymph node germinal centers in human patients. Having worked with mRNA for decades, I can attest that this is highly unusual. ... In this case, the cytotoxic protein antigen is spike. Spike protein can be detected for at least 60 days after administration of dose. Note that the duration of the protein expression was only tested for 60 days.

....... That this has not been published or investigated more demonstrates the gross regulatory dereliction of duty by Pfizer, Biointech, Moderna, NIAID VRC and that whole crew. Using these vaccines, which include pseudouridine without fully understanding the implications and without the FDA requiring a complete pre-clinical toxicology regulatory package, including long-term follow-up, as is done with any other unique chemical or adjuvant additive is shocking. Then there is the novel use of the unique nano particles being used in these vaccines, which also were only marginally assessed, as shown by the Japanese Pfizer data.

...... I know the following from the paper is long, but it is very important.

Prolonged detection of vaccine mRNA in LN GCs, and spike antigen in LN GCs and blood  following SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccination

........ Read that again: Protein production of spike is higher than those of severely ill COVID-19 patients!

Is it possible that as the mRNA degrades the risk of severe adverse events decreases?

The mRNA SARS-CoV-2 vaccines were brought to market in response to the widely perceived public health crises of Covid-19. The utilization of mRNA vaccines in the context of infectious disease had no precedent, but desperate times seemed to call for desperate measures. The mRNA vaccines utilize genetically modified mRNA encoding spike proteins. These alterations hide the mRNA from cellular defenses, promote a longer biological half-life for the proteins, and provoke higher overall spike protein production. However, both experimental and observational evidence reveals a very different immune response to the vaccines compared to the response to infection with SARS-CoV-2. As we will show, the genetic modifications introduced by the vaccine are likely the source of these differential responses.

In this paper, we present the evidence that vaccination, unlike natural infection, induces a profound impairment in type I interferon signaling, which has diverse adverse consequences to human health. We explain the mechanism by which immune cells release into the circulation large quantities of exosomes containing spike protein along with critical microRNAs that induce a signaling response in recipient cells at distant sites. We also identify potential profound disturbances in regulatory control of protein synthesis and cancer surveillance. These disturbances are shown to have a potentially direct causal link to neurodegenerative disease, myocarditis, immune thrombocytopenia, Bell’s palsy, liver disease, impaired adaptive immunity, increased tumorigenesis, and DNA damage. We show evidence from adverse event reports in the VAERS database supporting our hypothesis. We believe a comprehensive risk/benefit assessment of the mRNA vaccines excludes them as positive contributors to public health, even in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Nature published a comprehensive study this week on cardiovascular risk including a total of over 11 million patients that has made a few headlines. The aim was to identify the cause of increased cardiac pathology. It should have been a very simple study comparing four groups:
  1. Not infected and never vaccinated
  2. Not infected and vaccinated
  3. Infected but not vaccinated
  4. Infected and vaccinated
It is hard to believe the authors did not look at these groups, but whatever was found when comparing them remains a mystery. Instead, the following groups were compared:
  1. Not infected and never vaccinated data from 2017
  2. Not infected, including vaccinated and not vaccinated
  3. Infected but not vaccinated
  4. Infected with vaccinated people included but using modelled adjustments
When studies with huge datasets use modelling and fail to share data prior to their adjustments alarm bells should start ringing. Therefore, I took a deeper dive to see what else was questionable. There were serious biases in the paper which need addressing but first let’s look at the critical question of myocarditis (heart inflammation). Because of the known risk of myocarditis from vaccination it is worth looking particularly closely at the data presented on this. Oddly, for the issue of the day, the data on myocarditis was all hidden in the supplementary appendix to the paper. The risk of myocarditis appears to be an autoimmune (the immune system attacking the heart after interaction with the spike protein) rather than direct damage by the virus/vaccine spike protein. Therefore, myocarditis could result from the virus or the vaccine.

The key question that needs answering is whether vaccination protects or enhances the risk from the virus. The authors report 370 per million risk of myocarditis after Covid infection in the unvaccinated. The contemporary control rate was 70 per million and the historic one was 40 per million. What was wrong with the contemporary controls? They made it clear they removed those who had been vaccinated from the calculation in the Covid arm but they did not state they did this for the control arm. Did vaccination lead to a 30 per million increase in myocarditis in the control arm? Given the cohort appears to be old and we know myocarditis incidence is worse in the young a one in 30,000 incidence is significant.

.................

Nature has published this paper which appears to have bypassed peer review. The results were presented as showing how dangerous the Covid virus was for cardiovascular complications without suitable controls to enable that conclusion to be drawn. The evidence on vaccination risks was hidden and not presented in a meaningful way for different age groups. Even then, they demonstrated a significant risk of myocarditis after vaccination, particularly after then encountering the virus but this key finding was hidden in the supplementary appendix. Why?

Vaccine Safety Myth - Two Fundamental Mechanisms that Explain Serious Adverse Effects Post-Vaccination

... Current anti-COVID vaccines can be like bouncing balls in your body. Obviously Nanoparticles1 (LNP/Viral vectors) and spike proteins are far less poetic, but what they lack in poetry, they compensate in potential chaos and surprises. The domino effects they trigger sometimes can be disquieting and dramatic.

... The number of lipid nanoparticles (LNP) injected in a dose of these anti-COVID vaccines is utterly flabbergasting: up to 50 billion viral vectors for AstraZeneca, 40 billion LNPs for Moderna, and likely 10 for Pfizer. It’s not very clear how many intact messenger RNA are in each NLP, but even if we agree to only 1, and that each one produces 1000 spike protein, we are talking your body having to deal with a minimum 30 trillion pathogenic spike proteins in a a few months time… Those are numbers way beyond very severe SARS-COV-2 infections: typically at infection peak between 1 and 100 billion virions, are present in the body.

What the medical and public health community hasn’t realised is that all the healthy cells that will be infected3 by these nanoparticles will eventually be destroyed by the immune system. When you take the Pfizer vaccine 3 times, you accept sacrificing up to 45 billion of your healthy cells4… with AstraZeneca it’s 150 billion! While many of these LNPs will transfect the same cell, or will simply get destroyed before ever transfecting, for a reason or another, these numbers remain truly gigantic. And it’s no surprise that some people’s arms are painful – or other die quasi instantly – post-vaccination as T-cells attack these spike-producing cells to start ridding the body of the infection mimicry.

Of course, these are supposedly intramuscular vaccines which were meant to stay in the muscle. Straight forward, no chaos, no unforeseen consequences: Theoretically, LNP fuses with muscle cell, mRNA is inserted, muscle cell’s intra-cellular machinery starts producing spike proteins, cells are identified by the immune systems as “compromised”, T-cells attack infected cell and the spike proteins are spilled into tissues and blood stream to trigger antibody selection and production, antibodies neutralise and rid the spike protein. If the bouncing balls stay in the same place, then there’s no domino effect, nothing happens apart from muscle cells being destroyed and ultimately replaced. End of story.

... There’s 2 different routes by which the LNP can escape the muscle, the blood stream and the lymphatic system. Both networks behave very differently, and the possible consequences of a leak are likely to be very different …

...

If LNPs are released away from the muscle, they are likely to reach and penetrate cells in three main areas:
  • endothelial walls in micro-vessels: where they are narrower, probability of transfection is 440 times higher. In other words, the bouncing balls hit the walls more often when the street becomes narrower…
  • vital organ cells: just as blood vessels deliver nutrients to organs, they will likely deliver LNPs to the heart, liver, lungs… and even occasionally past the blood-brain-barrier into the brain
  • lymph nodes: the most likely organs down the lymphatic system, near the injection site, are the local lymph node which will naturally become receptacles of LNPs
That would cause major disruption downstream as large patches of interconnected cells get transfected, start producing spike protein, release large quantities of spike around them and are being attacked by T-cells:
  • in blood vessels, it will inevitably cause heavy inflammation, bleeding, clotting in the areas it’s the densest, downstream necrosis, arterial calcification and thrombosis: numerous strokes and thrombosis in adverses effects databases have demonstrated that to be true.
  • in organs like the heart, lungs, liver and ovaries, it will likely create a high degree of inflammation, cell death (apoptosis), and calcification ( pericardium for example causing heart attack): the high number of myo/pericarditis highlights this as a real possibility.
  • in lymph nodes, it could either interfere with the Lymph node function itself (B cells) as nanoparticle penetrate lymphatic nodules, or interfere with the immune system by transfecting immune cells contained in the Lymph node, with the risks of partial immune deficiency: The reappearance of dormant viruses such as shingles seem to point in that direction.
...

Depending on the total dose leaked and its distribution, concentrated or distributed, depending also on the quality of the product (Did poor quality actually save many lives?), and the repetition of the doses (1,2, 3 , up to 4 doses?), the scenarios can vary drastically:
  • First and foremost, the circulatory system - blood vessels - is at the frontline of these diffuse leaks of the vaccine into the blood. Endothelial walls are the principle surface the LNPs can transfect: 1bn LNPs equate to 1 square meter of transfectable endothelial walls throughout the body. Damage would be totally invisible, diffused, but can last for months as vessel cell regeneration is a lengthy process.
  • Because all blood flows through them in a concentrated fashion, some organs would eventually be accumulating more hits than others, most noteworthy the heart and the liver. And indeed we are witnessing many cardiac and hepatic adverse effects.
  • Other more distributed but highly vascularised organs like the lungs, the brain, the kidneys, the bone marrow, the ovaries might also be hit, but in a slightly more distributed and diffuse manner.
  • Some organs won’t regenerate like the heart (myocarditis isn’t mild, once myocytes have been destroyed, you can’t regenerate them) or will take longer like endothelial cells. So you can have a capacitor effect whereby each injection weakens the organ, or makes the situation worse, increases the inflammations, to a point it snaps: causing a blood clot, a stroke or a heart attack.
... Beyond the fact that the vaccines are utterly ineffective, the mechanisms by which they are harming people is not as complicated as we think. The Danes have apparently reduced the risk 60% by enforcing the aspiration technique. One wonders what the other public health agencies have been doing since! Another CDC alert highlighted leaky blood vessels were a problem. Again admitting the risk caused by these product going intravenous. One wonders how anyone knowing that would continue to vaccinate billions? How can any of the authorities be certain these products won’t leak? They can’t. They never could. It was excusable to not understand the implication of transfection. It is not excusable to avoid looking at the reality in the face for over a year. And they will soon stand trial for that.

Quicktake: Bad Science Is Bad Medicine

I had been sitting on publishing a version of this ditty for a little while because I wasn’t ready to join a chorus of people saying that pregnancy losses and vascular “accidents” that we are seeing in vaxx AE’s and all-cause mortality tables are clearly the result of vaxx itself…until this happened.

Somebody said recently they think that maybe “science” now knows why the Oxford-AstraZeneca (AZ) adenovirus vector vaxx/bioagent causes symptomatic blood clots. This is not what we would call “fresh news.” Turns out the vaxx engineers failed to notice that they were instructing cells to build foreign proteins that would be a lot like Platelet factor 4 (PF4, aka CXCL4, a chemokine ligand) protein that is deeply involved in a lot of immune activities. Hurr Durr, recognizing that and avoiding it is Day One stuff, bro. ......

... There are issues with all of the genejabs, but AZ’s product has a conspicuous pattern of showing up in a population 6-8 weeks before nasty variants become invented by “nature.” If I could Thanos-snap vaxxes out of existence one-by-one, I would start with AZ. Meanwhile I thank goodness we Americans have not been subjected to their stuff.

Hypothesis: Spike protein gene therapy shots (the mRNA vaccines) might age the cardiovascular system and increase cancer risk by 10 years, or around one Gompertz interval.

Some puzzles that I sought to answer in formulating the hypothesis:
  • Mortality worsened in 2021 vs. 2020 despite widespread vaccinations.
  • A "spike" (pun!) in mortality among younger, working-age individuals coincided with vaccine mandates.
  • The spike in younger deaths peaked in Q3 2021 when Covid deaths were extremely low (but rising into the end of September).
The conundrum is showing up most clearly in life insurers' results. Here, for example, is the NWLI income statement for Q3 2021:

........... This bears watching closely in the year ahead. Unlike the “trust-science” propaganda, death benefit payouts don't lie and can't be gamed

... After several other analysis, I began to settle on the approximation of 400 deaths per million doses delivered, or around 1 death per 2500 doses. I could refine that estimate, and sometimes told people that 1 death per 2300 doses was my closest guess after several analyses, but the exact number is less the point than the observation: we need to immediately halt the experimental mass injection campaign.

We were again sent an evaluation by the physicist Archi.medes, who has now compared the official death figures and the vaccination figures. Its results are depressing: for every 2,300 vaccinations, Archi.medes receives “one more death than expected”.

.... In this representation, the "vaccination" victims are clearly visible in the official death figures, which can hardly be manipulated! By looking at the total number, the analysis becomes independent of the assignment of deaths to various causes (heart attacks, strokes, blood clots, circulatory diseases and neurological problems, or corona), which is sometimes not that easy and which leaves potential manipulation options open.

........... The take-away here is that it’s quite possible to have zero efficacy overall (as measured by the ‘correct’ efficacy) but with a reasonably high efficacy as measured by the ‘official’ efficacy.

Mis-categorization of vaccinated vs unvaccinated with regards to covid death can have quite profound consequences. This is especially important because it is known that being in vaccine limbo elevates your risk of covid death compared to the same time period in the unvaccinated.

.... I’m not saying anything new here - lots of people have pointed this out. I just wanted to try out a different perspective on it all.

The main take-away is that we really, really need to include the risks in vaccine limbo in any calculation of overall efficacy, because not doing so can give a hugely misleading result.

The big news is that she found the unusual clots in 93% of the last 30 people who she embalmed. This is significant because she isn’t selective about who she embalms.

Not all embalmers will see a 93% clot rate. Richard Hirschman only sees these clots in 65% of his cases.

Either way, we have identified what is the #1 cause of death in America today; a killer that is much bigger than COVID.

Help us identify & solve primary causes of under-reporting of adverse events following vaccination.

.... Over the past sixty years, western civilization has been groomed to dismiss adverse events following vaccination. The reasons are many, but the result is singular. Without adequate feedback, our reporting systems cannot alert us to dangerous products. Every unreported trend or cluster of injuries is a missed opportunity to send up a flare, suggest caution and justify investment in research and solutions. These systems are failing us, because we are underusing them, but again, “Why?”

Commentary:

Despite nothing changing at all, CNN’s resident ‘doctor’ Leana Wen claimed this week that “the science has changed” and so COVID restrictions including mask mandates should now be rescinded.

Wen failed to cite any studies or data that shows the science has changed.

Wen, who started to admit some weeks ago that masks don’t work in stopping the spread of COVID, stated that “the decision to wear a mask should shift from a government mandate to an individual choice.”

.... Suddenly all of this has changed for Wen.

It just happens to coincide with the beginning of election season

The science has changed lol. Efforts to rewrite history will begin in three, two, one...

... Of course the bluechecks want to tell you that they’re just following the science in their new devotion to freedom.

The science has changed! Dr. Leana Wen actually said so out loud, bless her heart.

The science has changed in only one meaningful way in the last year-plus. The mRNA jabs look worse on an almost daily basis. But the uselessness of masks and lockdowns, the problems with school closings, Covid’s lack of risk to kids - we have known all that almost since the epidemic began.

In fact, what’s amazing is HOW LITTLE - not how much - has changed about the epidemiology of Covid in the last two years. I know. I have the receipts.

It took much too long, but it appears that the tide of public opinion has finally turned. The term “trust the science” has suddenly lost its luster, especially when it comes from the mouth of a politician or so-called “expert.” The meanings of the words “science” and “expert” have been blown to pieces. .. Miraculously, as public opinion has changed, so has the “science”! Imagine that.

eugyppius: Paralysis

... In March 2020, we imposed restrictions to reduce transmission and save our hospitals. That was the official justification, anyway, however stupid it feels to type that now. In February 2022, we impose restrictions because restrictions have become things that we impose when people test positive for Corona. We aren’t trying to spare our intensive care units, or to improve our mortality statistics, or anything like that. Nobody talks about goals anymore at all. Masks and capacity limits and testing and green passes have become routine aspects of public life, observed for their own sake, because they make some people feel better.

RESEARCH, if it is to have value, has to be slow, meticulous, gruelling hard work and careful of all the pitfalls deliberately placed before it. But if it is good, checked and published, it enlightens us all and exposes the manifest lies constantly rained upon us by those in power.

The whopping untruths launched onto the people of Western Civ by their governments reformatted the brains of millions so badly that they shuffled obediently into a mass formation and ran over a buffalo jump

... All authority, from Vienna to Vancouver, stands revealed as psychopathic — it apparently seeks to kill and injure as many as possible. Talk about the needle and the damage done! Why else persist with vaccines that don’t work and which provoke the most lethal disease mechanisms as side-effects?

... People are dropping dead from the boosters. Each successive shot sends a fresh cargo of toxic artificial spike proteins into the bloodstream, which remain at work for more than a year, insidiously gumming up the capillaries of vital organs and throwing toggle switches in the coded proteins of immune systems that turn off the body’s natural defenses against a panoply of diseases, including cancers. The life insurance companies are starting to notice and squawk about the astounding rise in all-causes mortality. Nobody else in the loop dares to speak up, most conspicuously the doctors, except a brave few… McCullough, Malone, Kory, Bhattacharya, Kheriaty, Cole, Risch, Marik, Urso….

Dr. Fauci, of course, has an entire career of public health malpractice to cover up...

... Henceforth, doctors will have to battle strenuously against being regarded as dangerous quacks, while the entire scaffold of conglomerate hospitals and group practices founders and falls. You have no idea what a shitstorm of lawsuits is barreling toward the medical establishment when the fog of propaganda finally lifts and the public can see what has been perpetrated against it. Criminal indictments against Dr. Fauci and some of his colleagues should follow in a sane world, and there’s a chance that the world is beginning to swerve back a little closer to sanity — where a respect for truth and the rule-of-law can re-energize the collective public conscience.

An already discredited agency hits a new low

“Misinformation” is one of the most overused terms in our modern world.

Instead of referring to information that is purposefully misleading, it’s now become an easy shorthand term for major media outlets when referring to information they don’t like.

But misinformation is real — there are people and officials and entire government agencies who disseminate information that is demonstrably incorrect in order to maintain their narrative or encourage compliance with their mandates.

Unfortunately, this isn’t a new phenomenon; at this point most people have come to realize that not everything reported by the government and mainstream media is accurate.

But this practice has clearly become more intensely repetitive and disturbing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is not simply because agency recommendations and government mandates have completely failed to accomplish what was promised while they’ve lied to cover it up, but because the government and its partners are now openly advocating for censorship of those who expose their shortcomings.

The CDC has had a credibility problem for quite some time, beyond their flip flopping and unfortunate cooperation with teacher’s unions, they’ve amplified some truly terrible studies to justify their recommendations, a number of which are chronicled here.

But this latest study, their most recent attempt to defend their endless mask recommendations, is truly unconscionable.

There are so many flaws it’s hard to even know where to start, but it’s important to debunk this level of purposefully misleading garbage because it’s being shared by the usual misinformation crowd. ...

Experts advocated an intervention they once thought useless

Last summer, as the Delta wave was upending hopes that widespread vaccination would end the pandemic, several Democratic-run cities and states in America reintroduced the mask mandates they had ditched earlier in the year. A few other blue states and cities, notably New York, as well as many Republican-led states and municipalities, opted not to require masking again at that point.

This policy divergence created an opportunity to examine the impact of mask mandates. Those areas that rescinded their mandates could function as control groups for evaluating the effect of the policy on cases and mortality. But neither public health experts nor any of the major media outlets took up this opportunity. The reason, most of them would likely have said if pressed on the subject, was there was nothing to learn: “the science” was settled.

For their part, critics of masking and other Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions (NPIs) typically relied on principled assertions of freedom. This gave them little reason to examine the evidentiary basis of these policies, since they would have rejected them on moral grounds even if they worked. Only a few sceptical observers drilled into the data that could be found on sites such as the New York Times — even if the paper’s own reporters made little of it. The most prolific of these was Ian Miller, who over the past two years has published copious data-driven commentary on the track record of various Covid public health interventions.

... The endorsement of masking by medical bodies and public health authorities worldwide, Miller shows, entailed the abandonment of a longstanding view that masks were a useless and even harmful intervention. Over the previous decades, numerous randomised controlled trials had assessed the efficacy of masks in controlling the spread of respiratory viruses like influenza, and pandemic simulations had evaluated their potential.

A document published by the World Health Organisation in 2019 framed the results of these studies in no uncertain terms: “there was no evidence that face masks are effective in reducing transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza”. It’s unsurprising, then, that when the CDC briefed reporters on the pandemic in February of 2020, masking was not even mentioned among the NPIs that might be deployed. The UK government, too, stated early in 2020 that there was no evidence to support masking.

........ Miller’s charts expose claims such as Redfield’s as delusional propaganda.

Likewise, those sceptical of what Miller’s comparative graphs can teach us should be even more suspicious of the shoddy studies published by the CDC over the past two years.

... The most disastrous failing of the experts has been their lack of curiosity about the actual results of the policies they have staked their reputations on.

It’s been said that a crisis doesn’t create character, it reveals it. Far too often, the pandemic has shown that many Americans in positions of authority are of poor character. At least we know who the sadists are, since they so helpfully identified themselves.

The line between being overly cautious and just plain cruel has been crossed repeatedly. This is where we are today in what had previously been thought of as civilization:
  • Hospitals across the country are removing unvaccinated organ transplant patients from waiting lists. .....

****** Eisenstein: Reunion

I read a story the other day about a couple in Germany. They had enjoyed a harmonious marriage for more than 20 years until the time of Covid, when each adopted beliefs directly opposed to the other. Their arguments became more and more violent, until last year they split up.

The husband rejected the mainstream Covid narrative. He came to believe the whole thing was a “plandemic” initiated deliberately to impose global totalitarian control. He came to believe that death figures were exaggerated, that masks confer no benefit, and that the vaccines were both ineffective and unsafe.

The wife held mainstream views. She believed that it was not only prudent to strictly abide by all public health measures for her own protection, but also morally imperative to do so for the protection of others. She trusted in the integrity of scientific institutions, public health agencies, and the news media. She believed the vaccines were a triumph of science. She got vaxxed and boosted, and was deeply disturbed by her husband’s refusal to do so, afraid he would infect her and angry that he was putting others at risk. It was therefore she who initiated the divorce.

Today the couple is back together.

Wouldn’t you like to hear that one of them (the one you disagree with) saw the error of his or her ways, and finally came to the truth? My use of the past tense in telling the story (“she believed,” “he believed”) suggests that is what happened. And wouldn’t it be wonderful if, on a larger scale, all those wrong people finally saw the light and abandoned their delusions. Then we could move forward harmoniously together.

That would be good news indeed, but I have even better news. That isn’t what happened. In fact, neither one of the couple has changed their views.

... The couple got back together because they chose to put love higher than their disagreements.

... Here is one thing that should be obvious: decent, compassionate people predominate on all sides of the Covid wars. Notwithstanding caricatures to the contrary, most pro-vaxxers are not stupefied sheep, and most vaccine skeptics are not frothing ignoramuses. Enter each of those universes (mainstream and dissident) and it seems almost inconceivable that an intelligent, moral person could occupy the other; yet, it is so. ...

Aponte: By making social and economic participation contingent upon the taking of a speedily-developed medical product, average members of the global labor force are being placed in a dehumanizing position—either participate in the world’s largest clinical trial, or be cast into a life of social alienation and privation.

Dr. Julie Ponesse: JustinTrudeau’s 2021 deal with Pfizer (35M boosters in 2022 & 30M in 2023) and the option to extend vaccine delivery until 2024 up to 120M doses, means he MUST keep the mandates on pain of breaking the contract or wasting funds. This isn’t a fight he’ll give up easily.

Welsh: The truckers have a right to protest, but it’s not a protest I am in political sympathy with, as I don’t have a problem with vaccine mandates. It should also be noted that the majority of Canadians support vaccine mandates. Of course, just because a majority agree with you doesn’t mean you’re right. A majority of Americans opposed Martin Luther King after all.

*** Malone: Benito Mussolini once said “Fascism should more properly be called corporatism, since it is the merger of the state and corporate power.” In the actions of the governments of Ottawa and Canada, we are now able to clearly see the previously hidden face of global Fascist totalitarianism, by which I mean the fusion of the power of large corporations with the power of the State. We are now seeing shocking signals of desperation from our globalist, corporatist opponents. The incompetence of the Party of Davos is becoming plain for all to see.

Rose: I think someone is rigging this data. I just don’t buy that this kind of floopiness could be possibly be going on in a U.S. military database. So the question becomes, who’s doing this and why? And how the hell is this our reality? Why the hell is so much energy wasted in this kind of crap? Why can’t everyone just be like Buckminster Fuller?

Crawford: The experimental mass gene therapy campaign began at the worst possible moment, politically speaking. It began days after the last major election in the United States, and it is an interesting question as to the intention of the timing. Regardless, we have seen an astounding array of illegal mandates, enticements, and coercive methods without respect to the precautionary principle or the Nuremberg Code, much less ordinary proper data handling. While we were promised transparency, we were met with obfuscation and censorship while a mass propaganda campaign was thrust in our faces 24/7.

Ruechel: But there is something important missing from the conversation surrounding the end of mandates. If the mandates are simply dropped today without calling out the underlying legal and ethical fallacy that was used to justify them, government overreach will have become normalized. We will be left without the legal protections to stop them from doing this to us again

el gato maloit’s reaching the point at which i am legitimately baffled. how did these people wind up in power? on what criteria were they elected? how did anyone mistake them for honorable, capable, or even rudimentarily sane? how did we seemingly select preferentially for an entire generation of leaders who cannot rotate shapes in their heads and whose fake “empathy” was just thinly veiled sociopathy hidden behind faux social justice pretexts?

Dr. Lee RitzI’ve got to get something off my chest, so buckle up for an overdue rant. I can’t begin to describe the disdain and contempt I have for highly-credentialed MD’s with large platforms who are suddenly jumping on Team Reality about COVID. /1

... In considering an answer, I thought first of epistemology: How is it that we make claims of truth? On what basis do we know what we think that we know? ....

I watched footage of the Jan 6th “insurrection” in the US and remember thinking it was the lamest insurrection I’d ever seen. They certainly don’t make ‘em like they used to. I’ve seen more “threats” to democracy at my kid’s school Nativity play - although this was pre-covid, because these days we definitely don’t want the baby Jesus to catch covid - and so the Angel of the Lord has to stay CovidSafe™ on his heavenly cloud.

Unfolding before us, right now, or so the media would have us believe, is an insurrection in Canada. People are dancing, making food for one another and generally having a good time. But we know it’s an insurrection because they’ve brought along their most deadly and serious weapons - the great Bouncy Castles of Doom.

The scale of Ottawa's defeat is a jarring and continuing indictment of the capacity of the Canadian state, and the state must reverse this situation, decisively.

Kunstler: Wake-Up Call

Who would have guessed that Canada, demure, inoffensive, shrinking violet among nations, would rise to lead a world-wide revolt against the Satanic dominion of digital neo-Bolshevism? I mean, what else can you call it — this political Saint Vitus Dance sweeping Western Civ that seeks to destroy every constitutional liberty, deprive citizens of life, property, and even language, and reduce every individual to an internet-surveilled and controlled automaton… this global megalomaniacal mental illness posturing as “government?”

Well, now it has happened, and the head of Canada’s government, Justin Trudeau — arguably the most fatuous would-be tyrant in the former “Free World” — has failed to emerge from his hidey-hole for the better part of a week, perhaps afraid of his seeing his shadow like the groundhog of legend, and it begins to look as if his days as Prime Minister grow short. It’s rumored that the Canadian military told Mr. Trudeau in plain un-Woke Canadian English to fuck-off, they will not take orders to put down the trucker’s protest, and even the Mounties are wobbling, so it’s left to the Ottawa police, who threaten to arrest anyone aiding the truckers with food, water, and fuel. Wait and see how quickly that will turn to fighting in the streets. Constitutional crisis, ay?

Meanwhile, a dozen or so other members of the Western Civ Club of Nations are ditching their Covid-19 mandates and restrictions. The reason: despite the mighty forces of deliberate organized mind-fuckery and resulting mass delusion, the Covid-19 “vaccines” are finally revealed as a criminal fraud, a danger to all who submitted to them, and an insult to the age-old accrued intelligence of the human race as used-to-be represented by science, ethics, and law.

And still, America’s own putative leader, the empty suit known as “Joe Biden,” had the temerity to go on TV last week and once again tell his sore-beset people to “get vaccinated… get your kids vaccinated!”

.... Some powerful counter-information to The Official Narrative emerged last week from the US military’s own Defense Medical Epidemiology Database (DMED) when several whistleblower doctors revealed to attorney Tom Renz heretofore suppressed statistics on the shocking increase in vaccine injuries among young, otherwise able-bodied soldiers.  Have a look at the list reported out

In March of 2020, in violation of the principles embedded in our constitutions, governments around the world convinced citizens to give their leaders and public institutions the authority to overrule individual rights in order to "flatten the curve.” That impulse went unchallenged under the false assumption that human rights violations could be justified as long as the benefits to the majority outweighed the costs to the minority. By accepting this excuse for overriding unconditional rights, we transformed ourselves into an authoritarian police state where “might makes right”. That is the moment when all the checks and balances in our scientific and democratic institutions stopped functioning.

Liberal democracy was built around the principle that individual rights must be unconditional. In other words, they are meant to supersede the authority of government. Consequently, individual rights (such as bodily autonomy) were meant to serve as checks and balances on government power. They were meant to provide a hard limit to what our government can do to us without our individual consent.

....

When no-one has the option to use the brute force of State power to force others to submit to what they think is "the right thing to do", then the only path forward is to keep talking to everyone, including to "fringe minorities" with "unacceptable views". When we allow rights to become conditional, it is virtually a certainty that during a crisis, panicked citizens and opportunistic politicians will give in to their worst impulses and trample those who disagree with them.

Unconditional individual rights prevent governments from taking unwilling citizens on crusades. They prevent scientific institutions from transforming themselves into unchallengeable “Ministries of Truth” that can double down on their mistakes to avoid accountability. They ensure that the checks and balances that make science and democracy work do not break down in the chaos of a crisis.

...

Politicians and public health authorities MUST be forced to acknowledge that mandates are a violation of civil liberties. The public MUST be confronted by the fact that liberal democracy ceases to exist without the unconditional (inalienable) safeguards of individual rights and freedoms. The public MUST recognize that science ceases to function when mandates can be used to cut off scientific debates. Our governments and our fellow citizens MUST be made to understand that unconditional rights are especially important during a crisis.

The Moral Case Against Mandatory Public Health Measures

We are reaching the frothy top of a two-year war on our individual liberties. Today Prime Minister Trudeau announced that “everything is on the table”… against peaceful citizens demanding the restoration of our constitutionally-guaranteed rights.

The regime has given itself nothing less than the arbitrary authority to strip individuals of their bodily autonomy and to knowingly sacrifice one group of people with the goal of benefiting another. If we allow this violation of our rights to stand, we are turning our backs on 250 years of liberal democracy

.... the most important civics lesson you will learn this year are:
  • no one is coming to save you (nor should you want or trust them to)
  • those in power are often stupid, venal, and oppressive
  • compliance to tyranny only begets more tyranny
  • you will get to keep only those rights that you are willing to fight for
these are lessons for a lifetime.

they have taken enough of your youth from you.

go do it properly.

go be alright.

*** Rigger: The Joke's On You.

Whether or not the CDC and FDA are properly evaluating the safety of an experimental mass quasi-vaccination campaign involving illegal mandates and untold systemic risks is one of the greatest issues that my nation and the entire world has ever faced. There is no way to understate that point. If the government that has soaked up power, authority, and trust, is betraying such a fundamental responsibility, then we need to take that responsibility unto ourselves.

These are my truths, and I believe that they are self-evident.

... We should not have politicized the public health response to SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19.

And Justin Trudeau should have focused on managing the actual ground truth of COVID-19 instead of following the script provided to him by the leadership of the World Economic Forum.

....

We are now seeing shocking signals of desperation from our globalist, corporatist opponents. The incompetence of the Party of Davos is becoming plain for all to see.

1)    For the first time, we can clearly see that they are willing and able to collude with Silicon Valley to weaponize the banking system against us. ....

2)    The censorship is ramping up, and our opponents are no longer really trying to justify it. ...

........ Regarding the genetic COVID vaccines, the science is settled.

They are not working to prevent infection, replication, and spread to others, and they are not completely safe.

Time to connect the dots in this "lab or nature" SARS-CoV-2 saga.

........... So, the furin cleavage site is not in the most-related bat coronavirus. Hmm… Whom to trust?! Let's review and weigh the arguments of both sides, conspiracists and fact-checkers/$cience, from the vantage point of “hind sight 2022.02”:

PRO (conspiracists): An erstwhile study preprint from Jan. 31, 2020, “Uncanny similarity of unique inserts in the 2019-nCoV spike protein to HIV-1 gp120 and Gag.“ A group of Indian scientists compared the original SARS virus genome with that of Wuhan SARS-CoV-2. To their great surprise, the S spike genome was identical, but for 4 notable insertions ... As viruses naturally mutate all the time, it is to be expected that some nucleotides may be replaced by others, or one-two get inserted here and there. But 4 distinct non-trivial inserts point to a hand of man, rather than an act of God

......... In theory nothing is impossible in science, medicine or genomics. A SARS virus emerging naturally with 3 HIV inserts at its binding sites and also containing a furin cleavage site that doesn’t exist in nature but does exist in a Moderna patent… that’s seriously crazy talk. It doesn’t exist. A flying pink elephant would be a million times more likely.

According to Wodarg, a German medical doctor and epidemiologist specializing in lung diseases and environmental medicine, the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) data shows vaccine batches are sequentially marked by varying toxicity. ... It’s not true that there is the same stuff in each in each shot. And we have a very hard evidence with the batches that are different, shaped differently, have different effect,

One thing is clear about the revelation of the 2021 military epidemiological data and the military’s response to it: There is undoubtedly a public health and national security crisis in the military, and the Pentagon’s reaction only seems to be concerned with exonerating the vaccine, not fixing its own alleged problem. It’s now certain that the military’s health surveillance system — DMED — showed a massive increase in sickness and injury diagnoses in 2021 over previous years, particularly in the neurological, cardiovascular, oncological, and reproductive health categories.

The most important factor here is that while masks and vaccines may be put on the back burner, COVID is not going away, it mutates faster than ever after burning through “gatekeeping mutations”, the vaccinated will not acquire any immunity, and thousands of vaccinated adults and children will continue to be dying of Covid, heart attacks etc. Thus, the natural demand for “responsibility” will also not go away because the deaths are not stopping and someone needs to be held responsible.

The manipulative linking of election violence to COVID-19 policies is disingenuous. It is a calculated strategy to allow government authorities to crack down on those people who are going against the Health and Human Services narrative that there are no early treatments for COVID-19 and that everyone must get vaccinated, and that the lockdowns and mask mandates were necessary. The US Government must be held accountable for their failed policies and authoritarian behavior during this pandemic.

I mention The Courage to Be not to engage in a recondite theological and philosophical analysis, which is the last thing we now need, but to contrast his call for spiritual courage with what we have been experiencing pouring forth from the mass corporate media for years  There is a drumbeat of fear-mongering so intense and constant that it is almost comical if it weren’t so effective in reducing people to quaking, frightened children.

Primarily about Covid and the need to obey the authorities and submit to being jabbed with mRNA Covid “Vaccines” – the idolatrous religion of bio-security – this  religion of fear goes much further and much deeper.  Scenarios of fear have been rehearsed and produced for decades by the intelligence/IT/media giants on a multitude of issues, large and small.  They are rooted in a spiritually nihilistic political propaganda campaign that is exponentially increasing fear, anxiety, and despondency on a vast scale, which is its intent.  Fearful people are easily cowered and controlled.  The elites know that regular people throughout the world are fed up with being subjected to violence and abuse in multiple forms, and if courage triumphs over their fears, they might join in worldwide solidarity and revolt, as they have been doing in various places recently. To prevent this, the authorities must use terror tactics to divide and conquer them. If people dare to rise up and even question the propaganda, they have been and will be called terrorists for doing so.  Dissent is now equated with terrorism and thus it must be censored.

..... Just the other day the U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued a “Summary of Terrorism Threat to the U.S. Homeland,” saying:
The United States remains in a heightened threat environment fueled by several factors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information (MDM) introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors.
After twenty years of such obvious propaganda, you would think these people would be embarrassed, but they obviously are not and intend to propagate this bullshit for years to come.  They and their media accomplices have taken their lingo lessons straight from Nineteen Eighty-Four.

CaitOz Fare:

... For those who don’t know, the “Monroe Doctrine” refers to a decree put forward by President James Monroe in 1823 asserting that Latin America is off limits to European colonialist and imperialist agendas, effectively claiming the entire Western Hemisphere as US property. It essentially told Europe, “Everything south of the Mexican border is our Africa. It’s ours to dominate in the same way you guys dominate the Global South in the Eastern Hemisphere. Those are your brown people over there, these are our brown people over here.”

That this insanely imperialist and white supremacist doctrine is still being cited by high-profile politicians to this day says so much about what the US government is and how it operates on the world stage.

The state-funded Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) has committed an absolutely jaw-dropping act of journalistic malpractice amid the west’s mad scramble to whip up public hysteria about China.

Daniel Dumbrill, a Canadian video blogger who lives in China and frequently criticizes western narratives about the Chinese government, has posted a series of videos on Twitter which proves the CBC deceitfully edited part of an interview with him to make it appear as though he was saying the exact opposite of what he’d actually said.

... You’ve actually got to watch both clips to fully understand how unconscionable the CBC’s deceitful edit was. Don’t worry, they’re quite short.

... A war machine-funded think tanker appearing on a brazenly propagandistic show on western state media to explain the dark mechanics of Chinese propaganda is so twisted it’s actually delicious.

“Do you have any shame about doing exactly what you claim others are doing: pushing state propaganda?” journalist Aaron MatĂ© tweeted at D’Souza in response to Dumbrill’s footage. “If you have any remote interest in journalism, you should have Daniel on — live — and let him respond to your smear job.”

.... And of course we already know the answer. Propaganda doesn’t work if its targets know they are being propagandized. It needs to be administered by institutions who the public trusts to tell them the objective truth about what’s going on in the world.

“China is a freakish, backwards nation,” say the media in a nation whose government has spent the 21st century slaughtering people by the millions in military operations overseas so that it can literally rule the world like a comic book supervillain.

“China is a freakish, backwards nation,” say the westerners as they consume propaganda cooked up by their government and corporations on devices manufactured by stolen resources and exported slavery made possible by mass military slaughter, starvation sanctions and unipolar global domination.

“China is a freakish, backwards nation,” say the politicians who put on a daily performance of pro wrestling-style fake opposition against a political party they agree with on every major issue which is owned by the same corporate masters they serve.

“China is a freakish, backwards nation,” says the civilization that lets people starve and die of exposure and lack of medications because they didn’t win at a make believe game of accruing made-up numbers in their imaginary bank accounts by participating in a pretend economy.......

Other Quotes of the Week:

Garcia: What with record inflation, Biden already has enough on his plate, even as most of his aspirational social policy proposals have conveniently been swept off the table. His party's contrived dilemma is the same as it ever was. How can they deliver better "messaging" about their accomplishments in lieu of actually delivering accomplishments?

MartyanovIf you see British or US main-stream media "reporting", beware, in 9 cases out of 10 what they report will be a lie or its "finest" form--a completely made up shit. In related news, anyone who comes through these media are not journalists but whores both figuratively and directly speaking. Plus, being whores they do not understand what both human and professional class is, of which Sergei Lavrov has plenty. He is a consummate diplomat and a real gentleman--a concept which ceased to exist in the West long time ago.

Long Reads / Big Thoughts:

*** Welsh:
Democracy Cannot Survive Hegemonic Capitalism

The history of capitalism and democracy shows that we need to choose on or the other. The problem is that capitalism concentrates power in the hands of a few people who aren’t chosen thru democratic means. Capitalism requires those people to pursue unlimited profit, because those who don’t lose their power to those who do.

When they have that power, they then buy government, because government is both the main threat to them, and the force which, by use of law and means like central banks bailing them out, can keep them obscenely rich even when markets would otherwise cause them to lose their money and thus their power.

The history from the Great Depression on is instructive. Capitalism caused a huge, nearly worldwide depression. Government did not bail them out, and so they lost their power. FDR came to power, and more or less following Keynes’s prescriptions, he bailed them out. He and the people working with him put in place multiple protections to make sure that capitalism couldn’t cause such a crisis again.

Capitalists hated him for it. He had rescued them, but at the cost of 90% top marginal tax rates, huge estate taxes, regulation and aggressive anti-trust laws. Upon his death (little could be done while he was alive, as he was so popular) they immediately started attacking all the protections he had put in place. It took them decades, but they stuck to it, and after all, even in their reduced state, they were still powerful and could afford to pay people to spend their lives working against the New Deal.

............. Since then they have seized further and further control and increased their wealth and power even more. Citizen’s United, which allowed unlimited money into elections was probably the red line moment, but really, once the full faith and money printing ability of government was behind the rich, ensuring they could never lose power as a class, it was over.

The important thing to understand is that this structural. If capitalism is hegemonic (how most economic decisions are made and power is parceled out) then this pattern repeats.

"Anyone they trust to inform them is someone they trust to control them."

Power is about journalism because power is about who (or what) humans are loyal to. Loyalty implies trust. Since each human has only two eyes, humans must see the rest of the world beyond their eyes through the eyes of humans they trust. When they act in the world beyond their eyes—when they act politically—they depend on this trust. Therefore, anyone they trust to inform them is someone they trust to control them. Such trust has always existed—even a weekly church service is literal journalism.

Denouncing truckers for "unacceptable views," Canada's Prime Minister skipped town rather than face evidence of his own unpopularity. Is neoliberalism finally cracking?

.... CeauÈ™escu’s balcony will forever be a symbol of elite cluelessness. Even in the face of the gravest danger, a certain kind of ruler will never be able to see the last salvo coming, if doing so requires any self-examination. The neoliberal political establishment in most of the Western world, the subject of repeat populist revolts of rising intensity in recent years, seems to suffer from the same disability.

There may be no real-world comparison between a blood-soaked monster like CeauÈ™escu and a bumbling ball-scratcher like Joe Biden, or an honorarium-gobbling technocrat like Hillary Clinton, or a Handsome Dan investment banker like Emmanuel Macron, or an effete pseudo-intellectual like Justin Trudeau. Still, the ongoing inability of these leaders to see the math of populist uprisings absolutely recalls that infamous scene in Bucharest. From Brexit to the election of Donald Trump to, now, the descent of thousands of Canadian truckers upon the capital city of Ottawa to confront Trudeau, a consistent theme has been the refusal to admit — not even to us, but to themselves — the numerical truth of what they’re dealing with. Trudeau is becoming the ultimate example.

Scientists are rational by profession. They objectively evaluate the evidence and carefully separate fact from opinion. Except of course they don’t, really. In this episode, we will talk about some epic fights among scientists that show very much that scientists, after all, are only human.

...

“if science depended on rhetoric and polls, we would still be burning objects with phlogiston and navigating with geocentric maps.”
